One of the things that most surprises customers who visit the shop is that the piece on the shelf is only the starting point. A lamp whose shade doesn't suit the living room, a chandelier that hangs too low for the ceiling, or grandmother's lamp whose wiring is no longer safe — most pieces can be adapted to fit your home or office exactly.
What can be adapted
- A new shade — a shade in a different colour, shape or size from our stock of antique shades. The same base can take on a completely different character with a white opaline, amber glass or cut-crystal shade.
- A new base — love a shade but not its base? It can be mounted on a different brass, bronze or wooden base.
- Rewiring — old cords, sockets and switches replaced with safe, standards-compliant wiring, so the lamp is ready for everyday use with modern bulbs.
- Chandelier repairs — straightening arms, replacing sockets, completing missing crystals and drops, and adjusting the chain length to the ceiling height.
- Converting a fixture — for example adapting a pendant for flush ceiling mounting, or supplying missing parts so a piece works again.
Why not just buy new
Because what's on our shelves isn't made anymore. Heavy brass castings, hand-blown and hand-cut glass and colours that have vanished from the market — all of that is preserved when an antique piece is adapted instead of replaced with an imitation. The right adjustment keeps the patina and character, and adds only what's needed for the piece to fit today's life.
How it works

- Send us a photo on WhatsApp and tell us what you'd like to change.
- We suggest options (shades, bases, parts) and give an estimate of price and time.
- The piece is adapted, tested and handed over ready to plug in.
For pieces you already own
Adjustments can also be made to a chandelier or lamp you already have.
