Privacy Policy

Last updated: September 19, 2026

This page describes, as accurately as possible, how this website actually works. It is not legal advice — please have a lawyer specializing in privacy law review it before relying on it for commercial purposes.

Who we are

This website is operated by "Meir Ben Hur Chandeliers", located at the Jaffa Flea Market, Tel Aviv, Israel. For privacy questions, contact us by email at [email protected] or by phone at +972 50-837-5789.

What information this site collects

This site is a display catalog only. As of the date at the top of this page, the site has no forms that collect or submit data (the search box on the site is a local, in-browser filter and never sends data to any server), uses no cookies of its own, and includes no analytics tools or marketing pixels of any kind. In practice, we do not collect, store, or process any personal data of visitors through the website itself.

One exception: the site loads fonts from the external service Google Fonts. Loading these fonts involves your browser contacting Google's servers, which inherently includes your IP address — the same as any other request to any website. We do not control Google's privacy practices and refer you to Google's own privacy policy for details.

Contacting us via WhatsApp, phone, or email

When you click a WhatsApp, phone, or email link on the site, you leave the website and open the relevant app or service on your own device. Any conversation content (phone number, name, message text) is received and stored by us directly through that channel (for example, our WhatsApp Business chat history) — not through the website. We use this information only to respond to your inquiry — checking item availability, pricing, arranging a visit to the shop, and similar — and do not pass it to third parties for marketing purposes.

Sales and business dealings

The site has no shopping cart, online checkout, or payment processing. Every sale is finalized personally — by phone, WhatsApp message, or an in-person shop visit — so payment details (credit card, etc.) are never entered into or stored by the website at any stage.

Applicable law

This is an Israeli business serving customers primarily in Israel, so the main relevant law is the Israeli Protection of Privacy Law, 1981, as amended by Amendment 13 (effective August 2025, which increases data-security and reporting obligations for businesses holding databases). Because the website itself does not operate a database (no sign-up, no forms, no tracking), the regulatory exposure arising from the site itself is limited — though WhatsApp/phone conversations retained by the business owner on a personal device may separately qualify as a database under other provisions of Israeli law (see "Additional risks" noted to the site owner).

GDPR (European Union): the site is not targeted at an EU audience, does not price in euros, and has no tracking infrastructure or forms — so GDPR exposure is very low, if any. This should be reassessed if forms, a newsletter, or EU-targeted advertising are ever added.

CCPA (California, USA): this law applies to businesses meeting certain revenue/data-volume thresholds (for example, over $25M in annual revenue, or processing data for tens of thousands of California consumers). This small local business does not meet those thresholds, so CCPA does not currently apply.

Your rights

Since the website itself does not store data about you, there is no on-site "record" to access or delete. If you contacted us via WhatsApp, phone, or email and would like us to delete that conversation from our business device, you can request this directly through any of the contact methods above.

Changes to this policy

If new tools are ever added to the site (such as analytics, forms, or a newsletter), this page will be updated accordingly and the "last updated" date above will change.
